Role: Finance Assistant (Treasury)
**Salary**: From £25,000
Location: Hybrid / BioTech Campus, York, UK
Working pattern: 37.5 Monday - Friday anytime between 7am & 7pm (flexi)
Start date: ASAP depending on recruitment and onboarding timelines.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for ensuring the bank accounts are reconciled daily including investigation and resolution of any differences promptly.
- Posting miscellaneous payments such as bank charges, interest, and other ad hoc expenses daily.
- Ensure liquidity is managed on a day-to-day basis between Bank accounts.
- Manage the relationship with the Bank from an administrative and personal perspective.
- Liaising with Accounts Payable to ensure that all other outgoing payments are posted on a timely basis.
- Supporting the Finance Manager with operational cashflow forecasting and actual files, including preparing reports for senior management.
- Provision of regular and ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Ensuring all processes and controls are documented and that sufficient controls are operated to ensure integrity of data and safeguarding of company assets.
What we're looking for:
- Background in Treasury preferred, ideally experience of cash management.
- Full Treasury experience is not essential but transactional / reconciliation experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of bank processes, previous experience in managing bank relationships.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing a high volume of transactions
- Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative with minimum supervision
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build sound working relationships.
- Highly organised and demonstratable use of standard IT packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
