- 14 weeks+BIM Technician / Coordinator, (initially 3 months, extensions likely), Aberdeen, flexible on hours / days.
Rate by mutual agreement.
The role involves:
Reporting to the Lead BIM engineer, Working on a large Construction Project, supporting BIM implementation, management and support.
Conduct early design & constructability analysis reviews, and Report writing.
Utilise different software to analyse and audit 3D models, 2D drawings and project data for their completeness against a BIM Execution Plan [BEP].
Run clash detection routines and produce coherent reports based on findings.
Production/review of project BEP’s, documentation, workflows and their utilisation on projects.
Conduct BIM Management activities
Review project programmes, identify areas of risk.
Interact within and lead Coordination meetings internally and externally.
Attendance of client consultations, co-ordination and other review meetings.
Senior BIM Technician Position Requirements
Previous experience within the M&E Sector utilising BIM.
Have high levels of experience with the use of software used by the business: Revit, Navisworks, Newforma.
Be able to conduct clash detection tests and model reviews
Good PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint).
**Requirements**:
” Ideally educated to HNC level or above in a BIM related field.
” Previous experience of working on M&E projects on a busy site, organising your own schedule and dealing with Site Managers who are under pressure.
” Knowledge of ISO 19650-1 & ISO 19650-2
” Experience in using Revit on Architectural/ MEP projects (examples of work an advantage at interview).
” Good Knowledge of IT including all MS Packages
” Good presentation skills and ability to manipulate data sets
” Ability to engage with key stakeholders and collate relevant information
” Ability to interrogate data and present results to match client requirements
