**About the role**

We are looking for an Apprenticeship Learning Mentor to join our team on a fixed term maternity cover basis.

Within the position you will help to identify apprentice learning needs and deliver appropriate direct support (face to face and through an online systems) that will address barriers, promote personal development, and facilitate the achievement of the apprenticeship programme.

Reporting to Apprenticeship Performance Manager you will provide direct support to apprentices both in the College and also their workplaces. Our Chippenham Campus will be a base campus for the role which will also cover Lackham campus and the adjusted locations for work place support.

Other aspects of the role include
- Monitoring and collating evidence of all support given and maintain accurate records on our system (ProMonitor)
- Providing advice and strategies to support Teachers and Assessors in the delivery of additional learning support to Apprentices through face-to-face interaction and effective use of various support resources.
- Using positive approaches and other techniques as appropriate to ensure that learners with behaviour that challenges can continue to safely access and benefit from their programme.
- Maintaining a minimum caseload of 60 ALS funded apprentices per academic year.
- Conducting assessments of apprentice learning needs producing an action plan where appropriate.
- Liaising with Assessors and Apprenticeship Managers to ensure that progress reviews are completed for all apprentices with an additional support action plan.

**About you**

Alongside your qualifications and experience you will be self-motivated with a positive attitude. You will be empathetic, understanding and have strong written and verbal communication skills and good knowledge of Maths.
