**Salary & Benefits**: The base salary banding for this role is £71,577 - £79,530 in London and £61,911 to £68,790 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Adoption of public and private cloud is a critical part of the Group strategy over the next several years, and our function is central to achieving this objective.

**Specific activities which you’ll be responsible for include things like;**
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of infrastructure solutions of core Cloud Platforms, specifically Kubernetes based cloud hosting technologies
- Support the development of cloud guard rails and standard patterns for the consumption of private cloud container deployments
- Provide support to Value Stream projects and labs to consume Private Cloud Infrastructure services, providing advice and guidance and assisting in the validation of requirements
- Provide an engagement point for new projects to onboard onto the platform and provide
- Provide support for the performance management of the cloud provider, across incident/problem and change
- Ability to understand and transform business requirements and stated specifications into detailed designs. Explore the infrastructure delivery options and develop infrastructure design ideas

**What do we need to see from applicants?**
- Strong Cloud and Network understanding - Kubernetes, Calico, ISTIO and integration into the Enterprise Environment F5, Virtual Networking, VMWare NSX.
- Exposure to multiple infrastructure technologies (Server, Storage, Network), Kubernetes and Container based technologies in a Design and/or implementation role.
- Experience of adopting container-based technologies into an Enterprise organisation.
- End to end project delivery insight.
- Having a background in Banking/Finance is desirable but not essential.
- You are familiar with and passionate about engineering standard methodologies such as testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.

**Desirable Skills to have (experience of these would be a bonus)**
- Willingness to act as an all round resource, providing support and cover to the wider team accountabilities
- To be highly motivated, and enthusiastic with an inquisitive and curious approach to work.
- Willingness to act as a cross team player, supporting both the engineering and cloud services function.
