**Description**

Project Accountant - Duties:

- Preparing the monthly Projects Accounts - Prepare the month end financial reporting process for projects in your assigned region, working closely alongside Project Managers, Account Managers, and the sales team to ensure all project costs and revenues arerecorded and analysed accurately and on time.
- Liaising with the Finance team to ensure rules around capitalisation are adhered to.
- Undertaking the monthly project accruals and prepayments process including Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Posting project related journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Assisting with the year-end audit, liaising with the auditors specifically around revenue recognition and cost capitalisation.
- An in-depth understanding current and forecast projects for your assigned region, including detail such as the project budget, program, and requirements, including client requirements.
- Reporting to Senior Project Manager (SPM). Work with the SPM with month end processes and reporting, identifying risks, monitor costs throughout the project and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Supporting the Project and Account Managers, providing relevant information on project financials, including variance analysis to budget, and highlighting risk areas.
- Producing monthly and quarterly settlement reports for your assigned region.
- Ensuring sales invoices are raised and issued to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor payment and follow up overdue invoices where necessary.
- Preparing claims and back up documentation for grant funding and associated audits, ensuring deadlines for claims are met.

**Profile**

Project Accountant - will possess
- Recent experience working as a Project Accountant, ideally in the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong Microsoft excel skills.
- Qualified or studying towards CIMA (or equivalent).
