Salford, United Kingdom Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust Full time

This is an exciting time within the Division of Surgery and the Directorate of Perioperative Care as we are continually changing and adapting to the needs of our patients and staff.

An opportunity has arisen within our Senior Nursing team for a Quality Matron. The area includes day case wards over 2 floors, a pre operative assessment clinic and 19 theatres, increasing to 24 in Spring 2023 due the opening of the Greater Manchester Trauma Hospital.

We are seeking an experienced leader who will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high quality, patient care that delivers against identified National and local targets whilst continually improving the patients journey and having a positive impact on care delivery.

**The role of the Matron will focus on six main areas**:

- Providing a clean environment
- Ensuring best practice in infection control
- Improving clinical care standards
- Treating patients with dignity and respect
- Providing clinical areas with senior nurse leadership during both regular and unsocial hours
- Ensuring all quality improvement work is implemented and sustained.

The matron will provide support and guidance to the Wards and departments, ensuring that they work closely with the Ward and department Managers. There will be a focus on supporting Wards and departments to reach and maintain SCAPE status within the NCA Nursing/Theatre Assessment and Accreditation Systems.
