**About This Role**

Over the last five years the Trust has grown annual income from £1.5 million to £3 million. This trend is anticipated to continue as new sources of funding are becoming available, enabling more to be done to restore nature and respond with increasing urgency to the ecological and climate emergencies.

At this crucial point in our development, Durham Wildlife Trust is seeking an experienced professional to join the senior management team to provide the financial leadership the charity needs in order to continue to grow. They will be responsible for providing accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports to management colleagues and Trustees, ensuring legal compliance in financial matters and that effective management processes are in place. The Head of Finance will also line manage other members of the finance team and liaise with external auditors and regulators on financial matters.
