MISSION

An integral part of the Colt DCS Operations team, the Business Continuity Advisor (BCA) is responsible to the Head of Information Security for the development of plans to mitigate against the risk of interruption to Colt DCS operations and to recover promptly from any unplanned disruption. Working with internal and external stakeholders the BCA will create and maintain plans and processes aligned to ISO22301 to support organisational goals and meet customers’ resilience requirements.

Operating from Colt DCS’ London office the BCA will provide specialist advice and guidance across the organisation on the implementation of business continuity/resilience. They will oversee the planning and execution of testing activities and ensure that lessons are identified, captured and root cause analyses are performed to ensure continual improvement. The BCA will also be responsible for the production and maintenance of metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of business continuity across the organisation.

OUTCOMES

Engage with stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of effective business continuity plans (BCP).

Introduce processes to monitor the effectiveness of the BCP.

Ensure root cause analyses are carried out where weaknesses in plans are identified

Ensure appropriate mitigation plans are put in place and monitored to completion

Ensure the BCP are adjusted as required to support future business and customer developments

Maintain and develop as required Colt DCS’ alignment with ISO22301 and other good practice

THE TEAM

The DCS Operations team ensures that our facilities are equipped, secured, managed and maintained in accordance with customers’ requirements and industry good practice and is therefore essential to the retention of existing customers and development of new business. A key part of the security and resilience team you will provide specialist advice and guidance so risks resilience of both customer and DCS services and functions can be minimised. Working with global stakeholders internally and externally you will ensure that DCS continues to employ effective BCP which meet customer expectations and reflect the requirements of recognised BCP standards such as ISO22301 as well as identifying opportunities to expand DCS’ competitiveness in the market through the adoption of other standards or controls.

Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing business continuity plans internationally;
Effective communication to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of seniority and technical ability;
Team player who takes the initiative and personal responsibility for the achievement of their goals;
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the requirements and implementation of a business continuity management system

Fully conversant with business continuity threats and appropriate mitigating controls;
