**Job description**

Salamander is a growing business focused on delivering high quality, sustainable developments in the Sussex region. We are a diverse business working in three different sectors; Residential, Agricultural and Industrial.

We are looking to recruit a General Operative to join our friendly growing team. The duties will be varied and will cover every aspect of construction. The services we offer are Design, Planning, Project Management, Demolition, Groundworks, Construction, Fit-out and Landscaping.

**To be considered for the role you must**:

- Have an interest in construction or agriculture
- Be confident and comfortable using various site tools and equipment with training provided
- Have a positive can-do attitude towards Health & Safety and all aspects other of the business
- Capable of following instructions and working as part of a team
- Able to work proactively unsupervised
- Punctual, reliable, and fit to work outdoors
- Be a good communicator
- Keen to ensure high-quality construction standards and desire to learn proper construction techniques
- Able to keep good quality electronic records of tasks completed and hours worked
- Be able to travel to our office and yard.

**Pay/Benefits**

- From £10 / hour depending on experience
- You'll be given uniform and protective clothing
- Use of our company vans to go between projects, as well as the specialist tools you will need
- 23 days holiday and bank holidays
- Enrolment to our pension scheme
- Ongoing training and development.
