Guillotine Operator

**Jark Worcester are currently recruiting for an experienced Guillotine Fabricator for established manufacturing company in Redditch.**

**Essential Experience**
- Ideally have worked within metal fabrications in the past
- Ability to work out blank sizes and bend allowances is essential
- Proven ability to interpret manufacturing/ optimization lists and specifications including hardware.
- Understanding contents of supplier manuals in order to complete the required methods of fabrication and able
- to address this information in terms of assembly requirements
- Ability to read and recognize profile orientations and technical drawings
- Manual handling and ability to use one or more of the following:

- Hand tools
- Air driven tools
- Chop Saws
- Pillar drills
- Pneumatic machines/punches
- Notches
- Guillotines
- Laser cutters
- Welding equipment
- Bonder
- Press-brake
- Experienced on CNC machines
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements for their area of work
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
- Ability to operate different tools
- Ability to lift heavy materials and tools (in excess of 22kg/ 50lbs)
- Ability to remain focused
- Good math skills
- Good spoken English, reading and writing communication skills.

**Desirable Experience**
- 1-4 years of sheet metal experience.
- Experience in pressing 1mm - 12mm Aluminium/Steel/ Stainless Steel
- Able to set ‘V’ sizes against sheet thickness
- SWL on top tooling and V tools

The working hours are 7-4 Mon - Thursday - 7-2 Friday

Rate £12.50 per hour

Overtime when required
