Housekeeper

A part-time housekeeping role has become available for an experienced individual to look after the home of a friendly couple and their cat. They reside in a beautiful three-floor home in Bellingdon, Buckinghamshire, situated in a rural setting with a lovely garden. They prioritise a tidy and well-run household.

This couple seeks someone who is friendly, kind, and diligent, and who would enjoy helping to maintain this busy home’s smooth operation. You should be organised, efficient, trustworthy, and committed to a long-term arrangement. Additionally, you should be open to receiving training on how the role should be executed, working closely with the couple to ensure their house meets their expectations.

You will be responsible for general cleaning, maintenance, and presentation of the house, including but not limited to:

- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors
- Cleaning, dusting, polishing
- Stripping and making up beds
- Laundry and ironing
- Window cleaning (inside)
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Unpacking dishwashers and maintaining kitchen tidiness
- Maintaining equipment (vacuum, iron, steamer, etc.)

Other duties as requested:

- Feeding the cat
- Occasional driving duties if required (dry cleaning, grocery shopping, etc.)
- Receiving deliveries, managing visits from electricity meter readers, and other visitors
- Assisting other contractors on-site (gardeners, etc.)
- Gift wrapping
- Managing closets, linen cupboards, etc.

The couple is looking for someone flexible who willing to undertake various reasonable housekeeping tasks.

You should be a car driver with your own fully insured vehicle, as the family lives in a rural location. You will be reimbursed for any duty mileage.

All cleaning products will be provided.

Pay: £18 gross per hour
