**About the Role**

The Junior Accounts Assistant's role is part of a team of five, which consists of the Financial Controller, Finance Manager and three Accounts Assistants, all of whom report to the Financial Controller of the Maples & Calder London office. This role involves dealing with both internal and external queries. Primary responsibilities include:

- Assisting the biller with production and checking of invoices for both the London and Jersey offices
- Ownership of the Jersey office shared mailbox to include posting of all client related search fees, client invoice amendments, lawyer time transfers and amendments, and other adhoc requests
- Processing of intercompany recharge invoices - gathering back up and approvals for the intercompany costs paid by London
- Assembling receipts and narratives for corporate credit card statements
- Using Adobe Acrobat and its tools to save a copy of the draft invoices which have been approved for billing on to the Accounting Software. This is to provide an audit trail for internal and external requirements
- Assistance with maintenance of office records
- Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders within a tight framework
- Assisting with month end and other ad hoc projects as required

**EXPERIENCE**

**What You Bring**
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to interact and engage effectively and credibly with busy individuals
- A pro-active customer centric attitude with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- High competency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Work
- Ability to use own initiative and be self-motivated
- An ability to be adaptable and agile to different tasks
