Lara Search are currently recruiting for a part-time Animation tutor on behalf of a vocational training & apprenticeship provision for 16-24-year-olds in Waltham Forest.

**Overview**:

- You will be required to work 23 hours a week on a timetabled basis.
- This provision supports learners who have a key interest within the creative industries, namely gaming, music & media.
- The learners have a variety of needs including autism, comprehension delay, challenging behaviour, dyslexia and learning difficulties.
- This is an exciting time to be joining the provision as they are expanding to launch their new world-class digital future campus, including industry-standard training rooms, equipment, VFX studios, editing suites and an e-sports arena
- We require a tutor with experience in 2D and 3D game production pipelines, an understanding of underlying game design principles and a wider knowledge of the creative media production industries
- To be considered for this role you will need to have Maths and English at GCSE grade C and above and be educated to degree level or have extensive experience supporting SEND students.

**Technical Skills** - we’d be interested in hearing from applicants with combinations of the following skills:

- Animating, skinning and rigging in Maya, or Blender.
- Animation-to-engine pipelines, ideally Unity/Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with modelling, and Photoshop.
- Excell Unity for 3D game production.
- 3D Modelling and texturing - Blender.
- Drawing and 2D Art skills.
- Experience with Photoshop - concept art/textures for games.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Blender or Autodesk Maya for 3D modelling and animation, etc.
- Have a personality
- Be confident with strong behaviour and classroom management.
- Be from a creative background or have excellent experience in Animation.
- Have excellent timekeeping.
- Able to use own initiative.
- Able to commit to 23 hours a week.
- 100% attendance.
- Great interest in making a difference.
- Act as a great role model for the learners.
- Passion for supporting children with special needs.
