Position: Teaching Assistant (Autism Support)

Location: Bristol (Easton) Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30

Start Date: September

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one support to the student, assisting with their educational and emotional needs.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support the student's learning and development.
- Establish clear boundaries and routines to create a structured and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's support.
- Monitor and record the student's progress, adapting support strategies as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with children or young individuals with autism is highly desirable.
- A patient and compassionate approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with the student, school staff, and parents.
- Resilience and adaptability in providing consistent support, even in challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications or training in autism support or special educational needs (SEN) would be advantageous.
