Data Architect | 6 month contract + option to extend for further 6 months | £36.25 per hour
**Your new company/role**This post resides within the Digital and Data directorate who are responsible for ensuring that digital technology fully supports the integration of the services across the ICS putting residents at the centre of their care. The Digital and Data directorateleads system-wide activities to transform the use of digital and data to support a modern and sustainable health and care system.
**Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for decisions made during the course of duties, seeking guidance and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Contribute to the delivery of one or more strategic plans, enabling key milestones to be delivered and raising any issues associated with the delivery of plans and workstreams.
- Management of a small team.
- Responsible for one or more budgets and/or income streams of delivery.
- Can demonstrate and deliver business acumen in their area of responsibility ensuring value for money, understanding the business of partners and the driving factors for delivery in multiple sectors.
- Develops and maintains a formal description of the data and data structures including the data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries and technical metadata.
- Collaborates with Data Engineers on data model, its maintenance and optimization as well as end-to-end data driven integration strategy.
- Participate in developing the future state data architecture standards, guidelines, and principles.
- Define vision, strategy and principles for data management.
- Defines standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modelling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching and delivering all data within the enterprise. Builds high quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions.
- Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
- Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
- Optimizes performance of queries and ELT/ETL procedures.
- Enhances batch routines by optimizing for more modern near real-time capabilities.
- Creates and publishes architecture strategies, statements of direction, standards, and guidelines.
