**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Access Control:

- Manage entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized individuals gain access.
- Check identification to verify age and compliance with venue policies.
- Conduct searches for prohibited items such as weapons or illegal substances.

2. Safety and Security:

- Monitor the crowd for potential disturbances or unsafe conditions.
- Intervene in conflicts or disturbances to de-escalate situations and maintain order.
- Assist in the evacuation of premises in case of emergencies, ensuring the safety of patrons and staff.

3. Customer Service:

- Provide a welcoming and professional presence at the entrance.
- Assist patrons with information about the venue and its policies.
- Handle complaints and issues with tact and professionalism.

4. Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure adherence to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and venue policies.
- Keep accurate records of incidents, refusals of entry, and other notable events.
- Report any serious incidents to the Security Manager or relevant authorities.

5. Team Collaboration:

- Work effectively with other security staff, venue employees, and law enforcement if necessary.
- Participate in briefings and debriefings to stay informed about specific concerns or incidents.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Licensing: Valid SIA Door Supervisor License.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical confrontations if necessary.
- Personal Attributes: Professional demeanor, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily evening and weekend hours, with shifts extending late into the night.
- Potential exposure to loud environments, alcohol-related incidents, and sometimes volatile situations.

**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
