Due to expanding numbers we are looking for people who are passionate about working with school aged children to join our enthusiastic team at Little Explorers After School & Holiday Clubs based in Hillsborough.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with set up and putting away of play room on daily basis
- Assisting with children's daily routines, engaging with the children in play and creative activities.
- Follow policies and procedure to ensure the safety of the children at all times.
- Be enthusiastic use initiative and have good communication skills
- Contribute to planning and maintenance of records
- Cleaning to ensure a good level of hygiene is maintained.
**Essential Skills**
- Level 2 /3 QCF Diploma in Playwork / Childcare or equivalent or be willing to undertake a course
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience of working with children in a voluntary or paid position
- Flexible
- Enthusiastic, able to use initiative and have good communication skills
- Be able and willing to participate in CPD (Continued Personal Development)
**Desirable Skills**
- Up to date Paediatric First Aid Qualification, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
- Experience of working with children in a childcare position
- Computer skills
- Working knowledge of social media
**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 - 30 per week
**Salary**: £7.50-£11.00 per hour
