ARM are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a HSE Advisor to work on a contract basis with a leading client in the Nuclear industry.

**What you'll be doing**
- Provide the Project Team with competent advice on current HSE legislation applicable to the activities, any hazards present relevant to the scope of works.
- Working effectively with the Project Team in establishing and implementing effective Risk Assessment and HSE planning
- Assisting project team in undertaking project related risk assessments and preparation of safe systems of work in line with project specifics procedures and arrangements.
- Carrying out effective / active monitoring, recording and reporting of our own and subcontractor HSE performance and workplace conditions.
- Actively challenging and reporting any unsafe actions and unsafe conditions.
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near miss events in accordance with project standards to identify and share lessons learned.
- Ensuring effective HSE inductions and relevant HSE training is undertaken and records maintained in a retrievable manner.
- Ensuring near miss and improvement observation reporting is carried out and maintained.
- Delivering suitable safety training programmes for all project personnel (including routine project inductions, toolbox talks and topic specific presentations).
- Participating in the regular reviews and updates of the Project HSE Management System.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Member of IOSH
- Experience working in a similar position on construction projects
- Experience within the Nuclear industry (desirable not essential)

**Details of the contract**
- 12-month contract
- Competitive pay rates
- On site in Cumbria
