Outreach Officer

The School and College Liaison Team work with schools and colleges across the UK to support students to explore their Higher Education options. This is delivered through a programme of in-person and virtual events, both in-school and on both our campuses.

The Team are seeking a full-time Outreach Officer (Pre-16) who can engage with students and their teachers and advisers, primarily across the Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire regions. The Outreach Officer (Pre-16) will attend HE fairs, deliver workshops in both schools/colleges, facilitate campus visit days for pre-16 students and be involved in a range of exciting project-based work. There is also the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of student recruitment events and activities.

Our work supports the University in meeting our Access and Participation Plan (APP) targets and therefore has a focus on supporting underrepresented groups in Higher Education.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about Higher Education and is passionate about supporting young people and providing access for underrepresented and disadvantaged groups. We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual, with confidence delivering talks to large audiences.
