**About the role**:
This Primary and Secondary SEND school, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint a passionate Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work in either Key Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary SEND school as part of an established team, the Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, MLD, SLD, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Difficulties. This full time Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant role is long term from January ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

- A commitment to undertake virtual, evening training sessions and committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.
- Availability to complete a paid placement in a school.
- Readiness to start working as a TA with us on completion of the programme.
- Be compassionate, understanding and caring.
- Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people.
- Be flexible, proactive and a team player.
- Understand the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe.
- Be able to demonstrate at interview the reasons why you want to start a career in education, and explain your understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant and the important part they play in the school community.
- Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- No previous experience required.
