Art Technician Handler

This well established Fine Art Shipper have a new position available for a Art Technician/Handler based at Heathrow, previous experience is required.

**Responsible**

To provide warehousing, storage, art handling, art packing, collection, delivery, and installation services.

**Compulsory checks**:
Due to the nature of the role there are a number of compulsory checks that must be carried out.
- A criminal record check - basic disclosure (DBS) carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- 5-year reference history with gaps in employment scrutinised and accounted for.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Ensuring safety and protection of artworks at all times
- Warehouse handling
- Placing into and picking artworks from storage
- Keeping storage records up todate
- Collecting and delivering artworks from / to clients
- Completing condition reports
- Providing installation and de-installation services at client premises and art fairs /exhibitions
- Preparing and measuring artworks forpacking

Packing and crating artworks in the warehouse and at client premises

**Knowledge, skills and experience required**:
**Essential**

Experience in field of art shipping and logistics. Knowledge of packing materials and packing methods Install and de-install skills

IT skills - MS Office Problem Solving Skills Attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment and alone

**Desirable**

Supervision of other team members IT skills - In house systems
