With a combined peak generating capacity of over 2000 MW these two power stations have reliably supported the UK’s national electricity supply network for decades. Alongside our generation commitments we are undertaking an exciting programme of major refurbishment at both our power stations to ensure that they continue to meet demand long into the future.

**THE ROLE**

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Maintenance Team at Dinorwig Power Station on a permanent basis. The role involves:

- Maintaining critical power station plant and equipment through routine preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure plant reliability, safety and performance.
- Keeping records and reports of maintenance activities and plant history (works management system).
- Performing fault diagnosis on complex plant and equipment to resolve problems and offer solutions to mechanical issues and challenges
- Working with other teams on production performance issues to ensure continuity and safe and effective handover of work
- Meet requirements in areas of relevant discipline of work, consistent with Quality, health safety and environmental policies and practices.
- Ensuring maintenance is carried out in accordance with policies procedures and standards

**ABOUT YOU**
- Practical knowledge & experience of maintaining heavy mechanical plant
- Knowledge of the EH&S legislation and the company procedures and practices required
- Knowledge of basic rigging and lifting operations
- IT skills to manage the computerised work activity management system
- Analytical problem-solving skills with ability to perform fault diagnosis
- Experience of working to safety procedures and practices
- Experience of hydraulic, pneumatic and pressure systems
- Experience of operating workshop machines and welding techniques
- Experience of the statutory requirements under LOLER & PUWER
