As **Buyer - Homeware** - you will be joining an established and growing catalogue and web based brand, located just outside Oxford. Purpose of the role:
Responsible for buying of the homeware range.

**Key Responsibilities for the Buyer
- Homeware**:

- Develop and source commercial products for the full homeware range
- Devise and implement strategies for the homeware product range from analysing sales and market data, identify areas of growth
- Manage of a range of c400 skus,
- Manage a diverse supplier base of approximately 80 suppliers
- Sourcing new manufacturers and importers as required ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
- Negotiate best supplier terms and retail prices to maximise profit
- Maintain and develop in depth current knowledge of trends, competitor activities, retail prices
- Attend trade fairs, supplier visits,
- Analyse sales and profit reports use data to develop buying strategy
- Write and manage copy for catalogue and web for all products
- Support assistant buyer ensure they work effectively and develop in their role
- Manage liaison with warehouse to ensure efficiency and quality

**Key Skills Required for the Buyer - Homeware**:

- Buyer experience from within homeware or gifting market
- Commercial experience of product development as well as sourcing of the shelf product
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent planning and project coordination skills
- Organised, used to working to deadlines
- Confident communicator
- Work well under pressure and able to multitask
- Adaptable in a changing environment
- Strong IT skills, particularly excel
- Able to work on own initiative
- Own transport essential, due to remote location
