Auxillary Assistant

Position: Auxiliary Assistant (Domestic)

Responsible to: Manager

Accountable to: Manager

Job Summary:
To ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the home. To keep a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each Resident. This is particularly applicable to each resident’s privacy and dignity and in respect of each resident’s personal possessions.

General duties:
1. All bedrooms when vacated to be checked, to thoroughly clean designated rooms by duty rota.

2. To wash Commodes out.

3. All corridors to be checked and hovered.

4. Toilets and bathrooms to be thoroughly cleaned after toileting times and re-checked frequently throughout the day.

5. Dining room area to be hovered after meals and to wash tables and replace tablecloths.

6. To hover in communal areas when needed.

7. To shampoo carpets when needed.

8. To assist in the Laundry when required.

Reporting to the manager if:
1. Cleaning materials are running low

2. Cleaning equipment is not working properly or anything that seems to be faulted.

3. The general maintenance of the home i.e. furniture broken.
