Brokerage Officer

I am currently recruiting for a brokerage officer to work in Hillingdon.

**MAIN SCOPE OF JOB**:

- To provide a Brokerage Service to ensure the effective purchasing of care arrangements as detailed in agreed authorised care packages from needs led assessment
- To maintain detailed records and systems for monitoring vacancies, allocations and placements across Social Care
- To negotiate fees in conjunction with advice and support from the Contracts Department, Finance and Team Manager/Service Manager
- To negotiate regarding potential delayed discharges with the hospitals
- To work with parents and carers, bringing together various agencies and implementing the statutory duties and responsibilities as set out in the Children's Act (1989), Children and Adoption Act (2002) and Children Act 2004

**Duties and responsibilities**

1. To be responsible to the Head of Nursery and Executive Head for financial administration, including record keeping, fee collection and administration; all payments, banking and petty cash.

2. To maintain appropriate electronic and manual systems as advised by Early Years Finance including database of all commitments and expenditure.

3. To provide support/ be responsible for the monitoring of financial activities of the centre and to report on a monthly basis, as required to the centre management, central finance team and funder terms and conditions.

4. To ensure that all financial records and documents are maintained in accordance with the council's financial regulations and that they are available for inspection by audit as may be required.

5. To use and maintain the computer packages provided for the input of data and extraction of information and be responsible for preparing and providing monitoring and statistical information and regular reports as required by centre management, EYSMT andfunder terms and conditions 6. To be responsible for the maintenance of confidential children's/families.
