Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Turner Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts according to specifications. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
**Responsibilities**:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations such as turning, milling, drilling, and tapping
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to complete the job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
**Skills**:
- Proficiency in machining techniques and processes
- Ability to fabricate parts using various tools and equipment
- Experience with tooling selection, setup, and maintenance
- Familiarity with CAD software for programming CNC machines
- Knowledge of Mazatrol programming language is preferred but not required
- Strong measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
