We are looking for a part time, Level 3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Chandlers Ford Day Nursery and Preschool situated close to the residential areas of Chandler’s Ford and Otterbourne.

Our Bright Horizons Chandlers Ford Nursery is Ofsted rated Good. The staff take every opportunity to go on walks in the countryside that surround the nursery. Exploring the woods and seeing the lakes and nearby horses are all regular experiences at our nursery in Chandler’s Ford.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
- Observing, tracking and reflecting on learning
- Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

**What we’re looking for**
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize and maintain nursery inventory; prepare nursery for harvest; prepare nursery for transplanting; prepare nursery for shipping/transporting
- Prepare nursery stock for shipment/transportation
- Prepare nursery stock for transplanting/harvesting/processing
- Prepare nursery stock for transplanting/harvesting/processing to the Chandlers Ford, Hampshire
- Prepare nursery stock for transplanting/harvesting to the Chandlers Ford, Hampshire
- Prepare nursery stock for transplants to the Chandlers Ford, Hampshire
- Perform harvest tasks, such as pruning, weeding, and watering, in a safe and efficient manner so as not to damage the nursery or harm the plants/plants.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist Nursery Manager with daily tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
