**SCOPE**

A Pump Assembler with IDEX Pump Technologies (Ireland) Ltd. will utilise a full range of fitting / assembly skills in the daily production of IDEX Pump Technologies Positive Displacement Rotary Gear pumps including testing and painting. Working as part of a small team, the pump assembler assembles a range of components or parts, into finished goods ensuring required standards of quality are met. Finished goods are then tested according to the required specification and finally painted to a specified finish. The pump assembler will also provide support, as required, in other operational areas including warehousing and shipping.

**PRIMARY FUNCTION**

Working to strict safety and quality requirements, help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements, optimising efficiency and maintaining operational excellence. Perform many operations within the overall process with some supervision.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assembly of the full range of Viking Positive Displacement Rotary Gear pumps.
- Operate production / assembly equipment such as hoists, lifts, and air tools.
- Kit and assemble parts or components and sub-assemblies into finished mechanical products using a variety of tools and equipment (hand tools - wrenches, hex keys, air tools etc.).
- Complete Skid assemblies consisting of pumps and drive equipment (electric/air motors with mechanical or magnetic drive couplings).
- Cut and shape pump protective guards, as required.
- Carry out product testing (performance or hydrostatic) and quality checks as per company requirements. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation (refer to product drawings and interpret as required).
- Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications
- Reading, interpreting, and following basic blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, written instructions, and diagrams to assemble products, mechanical seals, and equipment.
- Repairs - Inspect customer returned pumps and complete repair assemblies to customer orders
- Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance and housekeeping of work areas and machinery (spray booth, lifts, hoists, hydraulic press, industrial parts washer, electric floor cleaner etc.)
- Report equipment faults to management.
- Set and operate hand-controlled machines (pump test-rig, pressure testing equipment, manual hydraulic press)
- Other duties, as needed/required to provide support for shipping/logistics and warehousing including picking and packing goods and general warehousing tasks.
- Standard Work and process improvements - Appraise and assist in the development of our processes and the Standard Work Instructions for assembly and other operational processes.
- Conform to the Companies Quality & Environmental System
- Adhere to IDEX policies.
- Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with Company Health & Safety procedures
- Other duties as needed / required.

**Salary**: £34,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
