**Role Overview**

Future Academies invites enthusiastic individuals to influence the direction of our thriving schools by serving as a Governor. Governors play a crucial role in our success, helping to hold schools to strategic goals and ensuring all-round excellence in our educational offer. We seek individuals from varied backgrounds to contribute their unique insights and expertise, enhancing educational opportunities for our students and the broader community.

**About Us**

Future Academies, a distinguished educational charity, operates a network of primary and secondary academies focused on delivering a knowledge-rich curriculum and first-class enrichment opportunities. Founded with the vision of enabling 'Libertas per cultum' (freedom through education), we aim to provide our young people with the freedom to dictate their own life stories, driving towards exceptional attainment whilst fostering high academic aspirations among all staff and students.

**Main Areas of Responsibility**

Governors at Future Academies are instrumental in helping to uphold and safeguard our ethos and academic standards. Responsibilities include attending governance meetings, conducting academy visits, and participating in critical decision-making processes. We value diversity in our governance to reflect the communities we serve, bringing a range of perspectives to our strategic discussions.

- Are effective communicators, capable of analysing data and challenging decisions constructively and with humility
