Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to develop the new Community Rehabilitation Team to support service users experiencing complex psychosis. The team will support service users who are ready to step down from inpatient rehabilitation services into the community. The aim of the team is to reduce the length of inpatient stay for service users from acute and rehabilitation wards, incorporating least restrictive practice and the NICE guidelines for complex psychosis.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Drug and Alcohol Worker to join our supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to this exciting endeavour.

The team has a strong emphasis on the Recovery Model, working with service users to maximise their independence and autonomy to improve their quality of life.

Your personal development priorities will be shared and supported through our appraisal process.

The team operates during office hours of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

The post holder will be part of the Community Rehabilitation Team, working with a caseload of clients with complex psychosis and drug and alcohol problems. This will include people with complex presentations which are indicative of a mental health need alongside current or historical use of substances (legal or illicit).

To act as a specialist resource for other within the team who will be working with this client group.

To undertake comprehensive assessments, management and intervention for clients with mental health and drug and alcohol issues.

To formulate and implement treatment / care plans with clients and other staff.

**Essential**:

- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification

Evidence of a recognised substance misuse
qualification and/ or evidence of 10 DANOS
competencies or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of training (e.g. NVQ Level 3

Community Health or Drug and Alcohol Use
Practitioner course) or relevant experience
of working in the mental health and drug
and alcohol fields.
- Experience of assessing clients’ health and

social care needs in a mental health / drug
and alcohol setting to post graduate diploma
level.
- Demonstrable experience of working within

a substance misuse treatment and recovery
setting.

**Desirable**:

- Relevant training in

specialist area.
- Lived experience
