Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Warehouse Supervisor to oversee their new site in Grantham. You'll have the know-how as to utilising the space available in the best way possible, ensuring all health & safety regulations are adhered to along with motivating your team to meet the demands of the business. As the Warehouse Supervisor you'll be loyal, reliable, a strong communicator liaising with your colleagues and the Operations Manager. You'll be armed with the freedom to develop new ideas which help to continuously improve the operation which co-inside with your understanding of the company vision, values and trajectory. Meeting SLA's, productivity, quality and 5s targets all within the day-to-day standard operating procedures. This role shall initially start in Melton Mowbray therefore essential you have your own transport with move taking place in January 2024 to Grantham.

In return my client is offering this role with a competitive remuneration of £30,000, Private Health Insurance, 33 days holiday including bank holidays (please note you could work bank holidays) and Pension of 3%. Please note you will be expected to work weekends on a rotary basis during the peak season (September - November) totalling to 37.5 hours a week predominantly Monday - Friday but to include weekends within the peak-time of business. You'll have support and encouragement from your Operations Manager and Director who really do stem down the core values of the business.

As the Warehouse Supervisor, your main responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

- Has a full understanding of all warehouse functions and all duties carried out by the team.
- Carries out daily and weekly labour scheduling and forecasting to meet capacity.
- Interprets project information to ensure new clients are set up correctly in the warehouse.
- Estimates the timing plan for quotes.
- Provides full costings for quotes.
- Liaises with agencies to ensure there are sufficient agency workers at peak times and manages both agency and flexi workers.
- Investigates margin fluctuations and non-conformances.
- Attends management meetings and contributes positively to them.
- Manages the team to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
- Takes ownership for the warehouse area during client visits.
- Is commercially aware of the departments KPIs and understands the critical success factors in delivering the effective running of the operation.
- Focuses on improving profit generation and increasing the productivity of the team.
- Monitors time and task recordings for direct and non-direct labour.
- Creates the standards for warehouse processes.
- Maintains high levels of stock integrity and company confidence in stock integrity.
- Conducts thorough product investigations and represents the company in outcomes.
- Leads and manages the team including forecasting capacity in shift patterns.
- Conducts audits, health and safety checks and process adherence.
- Implements process improvements including IT developments.
- Understands and translates the company business plan and mission to the wider team.
- Trains and develops team members to increase talent across the team.
- Conducts appraisals and manages the performance of the team.
- Rewards and recognises excellent team performance.
- Plans for future business capacity requirements.
- Develops best practice warehouse flow.
- Liaises closely with all team leaders and teams to ensure the smooth running of the entire warehouse on a day to day basis.
- Constantly seeks ways to continuously improve warehouse processes.
- Oversee maintenance of vehicle, machinery and equipment.
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and despatch of goods
- Brief team leaders on a daily basis
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the workplace
- Follow company health and safety procedures.
- Assume a positive team role & contribute to the ‘family’ spirit of the business.
- Minimum qualifications to grade C Maths and English, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft computer packages.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- Demonstrates initiative and can work alone or as part of a team.
- Has worked to stretching quality standards.
- Understands the core processes of warehouse operations.
- E commerce fulfilment experience preferred.
