Sendco (Primary Phase)

The Maltby Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, ambitious and talented professional to take up the post of SENDCo (Primary Phase). We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner who has the passion and vision to impact positively on the life chances of students, leading and influencing SEND across more than one school in the Trust.

This non class-based post will initially involve leadership of SEND at Maltby Manor Academy and delivery of a new SEMH unit, developing this to in to a high quality, aspirational provision. The role will evolve to work as part of a team of primary SENDCOs, working across our academies ensuring the very best provision for all Primary age SEND children.
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of all learners and professionals within the team.
- Be a team player and work proactively with other leaders and multi-agencies to develop and implement effective Inclusion and SEND provision.
- Be committed to raising standards for vulnerable young people across the Academy/Trust enabling them to secure positive progression routes.
- Be able to establish and lead a new provision for learners with SEMH needs.
- Be able to liaise, communicate, influence and drive change cross-phase to align practice and ensure a smooth transition for vulnerable students.
