Despatch Coordinator

Manpower are currently recruiting for a despatch coordinator to work on a permanent basis for a local distillery based in the Warrington area.

This exciting opportunity has arisen due to extensive growth within the company

**Hours worked**: Monday
- Friday (8am-4pm & 10am-6pm alternate weeks.)

**Salary**: £25kpa

**Holidays**: 33 days inc. bank hols

**Based**: Birchwood, Warrington

Reporting directly to the head of customer service your role will include:

- Liaising with shipping agents/hauliers for the transportation of goods to customer.
- Preparing and issuing the required despatch [either Export or UK ] documentation in accordance with HMRC using in-house /HMRC approved systems.
- Ensure company process, government & legislative compliance for all movement of goods, to customer destination.
- Take on additional duties as and when required, to support the business objective to provide exemplary service to customers and colleagues.
- Communicating with the warehouse team
- To lead the weekly despatch review meeting with warehouse and customer account managers.
- Sharing documentation with agents/ customers within a timely manner once the vehicle has been loaded.A first point of contact for hauliers relating to collection of loads
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with customer supply chain contacts, and internal team members.
- Ensuring efficiency in Transport for external collections
- Ensure that all costs incurred in relation to customer's accounts are collated/approved and recharged to the customer in a timely manner.
- Obtain quotes from agents and hauliers as required by the business

Key skills required:

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Customer focus
- In depth knowledge of Customs & Shipping procedures (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of HMRC systems is preferable
- Ability to work short notice alternate shift patterns to suit business demands during peak periods
- Experience working withing a FMCG business
- Previous experience working with shipping & hauliers (export)
- Ability to liaise with various departments within the business
