**The Main Duties of the Role are as follows**:

- Process Analysis: Assist in the analysis of current brewing and distilling processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Yield Optimization: Support the implementation of techniques to maximize alcohol yield.
- Efficiency Improvements: Help streamline operations to reduce energy consumption and waste.
- Technology Integration: Participate in the integration of advanced brewing and distilling technologies.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable practices in distillation processes.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyse data to monitor process performance and identify trends.
- Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards.
- Provide support for ongoing projects at both Glencadam and Tomintoul distilleries.
- Staff Training: Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and understanding of new processes and technologies.
- Prepare reports on process improvements, project progress, and performance metrics.

**What we are looking for**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Brewing and Distilling.
- Strong understanding of brewing and distilling processes, chemical engineering principles, and quality control practices.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools for process analysis and data management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience: Prior internship or work experience in a brewing or distilling environment.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Institute of Brewing & Distilling qualifications).
- Motivated: Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning and development.
- Innovative: Open to new ideas and willing to suggest and try innovative solutions.
- Adaptable: Able to adjust to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Team Player: Willing to collaborate and contribute to team goals.
