Media Studies Tutor

Learn with SAT is a tutoring agency that specialises in alternative provision for primary and
secondary aged students, and is an approved supplier for local authorities across the UK.
Over the past 6 years since we opened, we have helped students as far as Indonesia work
towards their exams, and have become specialists in alternative provision for children with
complex SEND or medical needs. Many of our clients are now alternatively educated and have SENDs, so we work alongside health care professionals, schools and local authorities to successfully support and educate our students.

In the evenings, our tutors can also provide top-up tuition for students working towards their year 6 SATs, GCSEs and A-Levels via 1:1 tuition online.

**The roll**:

- Learn With SAT has been approached with a fantastic opportunity to support a young
person with SEND needs in the Whitestable area, as part of an EOTAS (Education Other
Than at School) package.
- This position will require face to face tuition, at the young person's home during school
hours (i.e. 9-3pm) in GCSE Media Studies, term-time only.

**Support requirements**:

- The young person currently requires provision at their home, on an entirely flexible
schedule during school hours, as part of an EOTAS package.
- Due to the young person's SEND profile, the tutor should be patient, professional, and
intuitive.
- For this role you should have experience supporting students with an ASD diagnosis,

**Requirements**:

- Must be enthusiastic and passionate in all tutorials
- Must be punctual and well organised
- Must have experience of following a GCSE syllabus, and delivering taught lessons as a
sole-teacher to the young person
- Enjoy inspiring students and seeing progress in their results
- DBS checked
- At least 2 years tutoring experience
- Must hold QTS
- Desirable to have safeguarding training at Level 1 minimum
- Desirable to have experience tutoring children with SEND
