Technologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability and Supplier Assurance Technologist to join our talented and dynamic team to support with the delivery of the LFF CSR and Supplier Assurance strategy.

Ideally you will have an appropriate food science qualification. (Degree or equivalent) or have relevant experience in this area, a proactive leadership style, experience in continuous improvement, problem solving and root cause analysis and an ability to develop good relationships both internally and externally.

Your accountabilities will include:

- Assisting with the evaluation and approval process of potential suppliers of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and services to the UK business
- Assisting with the evaluation and RS approval process of potential suppliers of shellfish
- Co-ordinating of the approval process of Service Suppliers with relevant managers
- Acting as the SEDEX database Administrator
- Acting as the MSC/ASC Administrator
- Assisting with the completion of raw materials and ingredient specifications
- Supporting the delivery of the LFF CSR strategy
- Supporting the Sustainability and Supplier Assurance Coordinator
- Acting as an internal auditor for the business
- Deputising for the UK Supplier Assurance Coordinator regarding supplier related issues

You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, particularly verbal and written communication, ideally with working knowledge of relevant Customer Codes of Practice and the BRC standard with aquaculture and fisheries experience.
