We are advertising on behalf of our client, a highly respected independent business for a **Full Time LGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver** to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join this forward-thinking company at a period of growth.

**The Role**

This is more than just a driving job; it’s about ensuring customers get the best impression of the organisation. You are the ‘face’ of the business, not just a delivery driver. It’s all about making a good impression with your appearance, manner, and the look of your vehicle. Ensuring goods are delivered in a first-class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a positive impression of you and the business.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
- Ensure with Transport Manager and Loader that the load is correct against the customers’ orders.
- Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property.
- Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and print.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
- Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law and within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.
- Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet and give to Transport Manager.
- To provide support in the Yard as required by the Transport Manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy. Physical Demands:

- Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles, coupling and uncoupling of trailers opening and closing of vehicle curtains.
- **There may be a requirement for the odd night out.**:

- **Monday to Friday (standard 45-hour week).**:

- **Overtime available.**

**Essential Requirements**:

- You must have a Full, Valid, UK LGV Class I (C+E) Licence, full driver CPC and Digi Card.
- At least 1 years, experience of driving an LGV Class I vehicle and multi-drop deliveries.
- No more than 6 Penalty points or any DR, DD endorsements (insurance purposes).
- A thorough understanding of current driving laws and working time legislation.
- Numerate and literate with excellent verbal communication.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers.
- Diligent attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £14.50 per hour
