**Job description**

To work as team leader in the preparation, laying, maintenance and lifting of Turf beds using the unique ‘soil-less system’ at Wildflower Turf Limited.

As team leader you will be organising and working on the day to day operation of a small team based outdoors that involves driving bespoke and standard farm machinery including tractors, forklifts and telehandlers on and around Turf growing beds. Some manual work is required. Mechanical ability considered an advantage. Welding ability would be considered a distinct advantage. Full training will be given at our site in Newport and Hampshire.

As the Team Leader you will be directly responsible to the Site Manager for all the teams day to day activities. You must be prepared to lead by example, have excellent communication and motivational skills to achieve pre agreed targets. You should have Team Leading qualifications and/or 2-3 years experience of leading small teams in an outdoor farm environment. There are opportunities to gain L2 qualifications in Lean Management for the right person as well as career growth opportunities in the next 2-4 years due to site expansion. The company has a positive attitude to professional development and will play an active role in your professional development.

You will be based at the Wildflower Turf Site in Shropshire but will need to travel to the headquarters in North Hampshire to recieve training yourself in our unique process.

**Experience**:

- Team Leading: 3 years (preferred)
- driving farm based machinery: 4 years (preferred)
