Due to continuous company growth we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. Reporting to the Head of Training you will assist with the ongoing needs of the Learning and Development team.

You will be training new starters in the Rochdale area however you must be flexible to travel if we need additional training support in Blackpool, Wigan or Trafford.

Previous professional care experience is a must.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

A training and development officer handles the learning and professional development of an organisation's workforce.

Trainers equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks.

Training and development officers help with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within their organisation. Increasingly, training and development officers are required to assess the skills and knowledge within an organisation and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills.

As well as helping to design and develop the schemes, they also work with the employers to establish the company’s needs. This helps to co-ordinate the courses and ensures it works for the organisation’s present and future needs. These professionals work with human resources manager in order to organise a training plan.

This job is usually a 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday; however there may be times when you’re needed to work more flexible hours. As well as having a set base in an office, you’ll also be expected to travel to a company’s site or training venues.

One of the key traits you’ll need is the ability to plan ahead and organise several things at once. You’ll also need to be an excellent communicator so you can create and implement schemes that not only work but also fit the employer’s needs.

Duties include:

- Identifying training and development needs within Cherish UK through consultation with and Group Recruitment.
- Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation,
- Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met;
- Helping care co-ordinators solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups;
- Determine the training needs
- Develop and administer new training for all new employees
- Responsible for developing and maintaining standards, meeting deadlines
- Organising group exercises.
- Teaching lessons using a whiteboard, projector, mobile devices and discussion training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year
