Immediate start HR Advisor for public sector organisation
- Hybrid working available - 6 month contract

**About Our Client**:
Our client is a large public sector organisation based in Leeds City Centre, offering hybrid working.

Duties of the HR Advisor will be:

- To support the organisation to achieve an overall reduction in sickness absence by supporting managers in developing strategies for the management of both long and short term absence.
- To support the organisation in delivering a targeted and proactive approach to the management of sickness absence within the Trust
- To work alongside managers advising and supporting them with individual cases, provide assistance with preparing management cases. Provide coaching and training when necessary
- Advise managers in the effective recruitment, engagement and deployment of staff in accordance with organisational policy.
- Advise managers in the preparation and presentation of investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and employment legislation. This includes providing accurate and consistent advice and analysis of often conflicting witness statements.
- Support the planning and organisation of a range of complex activities such as change management and the redeployment of staff.
- Support managers in job description design identifying where generic roles could be used and ensuring panel ready documentation.
- Support the development or revision of employment policies, procedures and guidance documents and recommend/propose changes as and where appropriate.
- Any other duties which may be required from time to time and commensurate with the band of the job

**The Successful Applicant**:
Requirements for this role:

- Several years' experience in HR Operations, either in a HR Advisor position or similar
- Insight into, and experience of, the various key dimensions and responsibilities of the role
- Current Employment Law knowledge
- Good practice and legislation on diversity
- Educated to degree level standard
- Possess/willing to work towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) through postgraduate study or equivalent.
- Available to work from Leeds offices when required
