We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, innovative and experienced school HR Officer to join an ambitious and successful office team.
The school timings are from Monday-Friday and 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and this role is available to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities for the role:

- Providing generalist HR support to the HR Manager, other heads of department and school employees
- To support the HR Manager with recruitment, induction, absence, and health issues and other HR & office management matters
- Manage the contact and information mailbox on a daily basis
- To liaise with the HR Manager regarding outcomes of staff sickness/absences highlighting trigger points
- Ensure DBS checks are up to date and renewed
- To support the HR Manager in employment and HR matters and investigations
- To ensure all sickness and absence data is added onto the payroll portal and on MIS including annual leave
- To assist in minute taking in HR matters and investigations
- To build effective relationships with all staff, volunteers, contacts, governor, and other outside organisations
- Experience in a similar HR role
- Be eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided)
- 2 recent professional and relevant references
- Must be able to drive with a valid UK Driving License
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get a new one)
- Good understanding of common HR practices and policies
- Sound knowledge of positive company culture, equality, diversity, and inclusion within an organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to develop effective cross functional working relationships, and willing to share knowledge with others as appropriate
