Our client is a leading provider of claim solutions and services, committed to delivering excellence in customer satisfaction and technical expertise. As part of their expanding team, they are seeking an experienced and skilled Building Surveyor to join their dynamic workforce.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Building Surveyor for our client, your primary responsibilities will include:
**Visit Risk Addresses**: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the validity of claims and determine the quantum of loss.

**Claim Assessments**: Deliver decisions directly to Policyholders/Authorized Persons based on the assessment of claims.

**Customer Building Claims**: Evaluate building claims using surveyor reports and relevant information, providing detailed explanations for claim approvals or declines.

**Customer Services Support**: Provide first-stage support to Customer Services on Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) complaints, including the writing of technical reports.

**Cost Savings and Repudiation**: Identify cases with potential for cost savings or repudiation and arrange for Surveyor site visits.

**Contractor Liaison**: Liaise with approved Building Contractors to review contract variations and interim payments, arranging joint site visits as necessary.

**Technical Support**: Provide technical support within the Surveying Team on building repairs, methodology, and pathology.

**Invoice Validation**: Validate customer invoices/quotations using Xactware, ensuring fair and reasonable costs in line with policy cover.

**Large Loss Claims**: Visit large loss claims, producing accurate reports and scopes of work on Xactware.

**Surveyor Network Oversight**: Conduct audits and oversight of the Surveyor Network and Contractors with Supply Chain Manager assistance.

**Claims Progress and Update**: Progress and update Buildings Insurance claims, including updating reserves, cash settlement payments, contractor instructions, and closing claims as required.

**Ad Hoc Tasks**: Undertake any individual or team task or activity as reasonably requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Minimum of 5 years of construction experience with a trade background considered.

Estimating/surveying experience within the insurance sector is essential.

Experience with Xactware or other estimating software is desirable.

**How to Apply**:
