We are looking for a **Head of Showbiz** to join us at **Express Online**. Do you have a passion for everything Showbiz, want to live and breathe an industry-leading showbiz team while leading and inspiring a dynamic team for a household name like The Express?

**What will the role involve?**

You will lead coverage on major breaking news stories across the celebrity world while finding, and developing stories that will appeal to our audience. You will break exclusives to ensure Express Online stays ahead of our rivals while sub-editing and managing copy to ensure it is accurate and attention grabbing.

You will help the team plan for the biggest and best events and shows to ensure Express Online is a leader on the topic while being able to work under pressure and produce content containing the best words, pictures and video.

**Who are we looking for?**

An experienced journalist **with in-depth knowledge of media law**, you have a strong track record of Showbiz and/or TV experience at a national title. You will be full of ideas for agenda-setting stories and instinctively know how to drive the key stories forwards.

You have first rate communication skills, both written and verbal, a strong understanding of the unique nature of digital news along with a proven love of news and a flair for writing attention grabbing headlines.
