**The Housing Network** are looking for a **Maintenance Planner **in **Luton** who is pro-active and organised ensuring all works are allocated and completed within the given timescales, and all customers are satisfied with the service provided. The role holder should be comfortable with customer interaction and have the ability to articulate a situation, and have a professional, personable and adaptable style.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Managing field-based staff (Maintenance and Cleaning Operatives) diaries.
- Reactive urgent/crisis calls as instructed by Team Leader.
- Scheduling planned maintenance.
- Oversight of vehicle trackers.
- Department liaison with Coordinators/Team Leaders.
- Outbound calls to Maintenance and Cleaning Operatives.
- Outbound calls to 3rd Party Contractors.
- Managing planning software.
- Working with Coordinators/Team Leaders to manage long term voids.
- Significant works orders
- scheduling of works.
- Contributing to 3rd Party Directory and 3rd Party Compliance.
- Add jobs to Maintenance software.
- Keep all notes up to date on relevant systems.
- Compliance with no-lone worker list before any works scheduled/properties visited.
- Deputising/supporting other team members as and when required.

**Essential skills**:

- Previous experience in a planning/scheduling role.
- Excellent planning skills.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Common sense approach.
- Driven by achieving targets.
- Ability to engage people and build strong working relationships with trades, colleagues, client, and managers.
- Good telephone manner.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
- Problem solving skills, analytical capability.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- IT skills.
- Ability to retain information in a fast-paced environment.

**Desirable skills**:

- Experience in the property maintenance sector.
- Knowledge of various trades.
- Good geographical knowledge.

**Knowledge**:

- A demonstrable working knowledge of maintenance tasks
- Some exposure to property maintenance
- Some knowledge of social housing/HMOs

**Package**: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum + 21 days holidays + bank holidays, social events and initiatives.
