We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic, forward-thinking individual to join the Merchandise Team at Escentual, one of the UK's leading independent premium beauty e-tailers. As a Merchandiser, you’ll become an expert in the world’s most luxury beauty brands as you develop and maintain their presence onsite, covering everything from brand categories to product pages whilst liaising with brand representatives. Not only will you provide customers with a detailed and accurate representation of the products we sell, but you’ll also be responsible for building and actioning an annual trade plan with suppliers to maximise all new launches. This role is the perfect fit for anyone with a can-do attitude, who is eager to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

**Full Time**: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**: Starting at £27,000 per annum

**Location**: Office Based, Cardiff, Wales, CF24 5PG.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Working alongside your team to maintain online product pages for over 13000 products and 200 brands.
- Preparing new launches, imagery, promotions and onsite activities for the brands you manage.
- Working with fellow team members, other departments and third party stakeholders to ensure best-in-class merchandising.
- Being the face of Escentual to Suppliers, developing relationships with account managers to drive mutually brand enhancing activity. This includes: bringing key launches to life on time, creating supplier trade plans, negotiation promotions and markdowns for greater sell through, presenting supplier opportunities to the wider team, and presenting internal reports on brand performance to key stakeholders.
- Ensuring brand updates are shared effectively across the business.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of trade plan activity.
- Core responsibilities include being the internal communication link between departments, collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to regularly review brand portfolio and stock in trade. Work with stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunity based on company level product performance and/or stock levels.
- Will be an expert using Excel / Google Sheets.
- Will be confident in data entry, management and analysis.
- Will have a keen eye for detail.
- Will have strong communication skills and be able to tailor their tone for different audiences.
- Will be able to maintain a strong working relationship with suppliers.
- Will be confident driving commercial opportunities.
- Will have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively.
- Will enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Will be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Will be a lateral thinker.
- Will ideally have excellent numerical skills.
- Will ideally have strong pc literacy skills.
- Will have knowledge of the eCommerce industry.
