Batley, United Kingdom Future Forwarding Co Ltd Full time

Based at our Head office in Leeds we are looking for an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join our busy team. Reporting into the Ocean Export Manager, you will be part of a team of Export Coordinators dedicated to ensuring the branch executes all ocean export shipments efficiently to meet customer requirements.

**Key Activities**
- Arrange shipment from start to finish following Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring all documents compliant with regulations and legal requirements
- Create and operate daily tasks within CargoWise / PAVE / Outlook and Teams
- Monitor / Track current shipments, updating Clients
- Liaising with Colleagues, Overseas Agents, Customers and Suppliers
- Maintain Company and Industry Compliance and Regulations, undertaking any training required
- Providing a high level of customer service
- Understand and adhere with Company values
- Handle / resolve any queries and escalate where necessary
- Stay updated on industry tends, market conditions, and competition
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
- Receive, process and approve or query supplier invoices via RAFT system
- Ability to work effectively in a team whilst also being self sufficient
- Assisting management

**Skills Required**:

- 1+ Years’ experience in Ocean Freight
- Previous experience in export documentation & planning
- Handling FCL and LCL Bookings
- Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes
- Excellent Communication Skills, written and verbal.
- Exceptional Customer Service and follow up skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of Cargo Wise Operating System would be a plus.
- General knowledge of MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel.
