At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our aim at Acorns is to help families feel equipped to cope at every stage of their child’s life with dedicated teams offering psychological, emotional and practical support.

**About the Role**

Acorns Childrens Hospice are now looking for a Programme Management Support Officer to support the Programme Manager with the ongoing operation of the Programme Management Office, including supporting the coordination of project review meetings and managing and maintaining project portfolio records. This role will support projects throughout the project life cycle; developing project plans with teams, monitoring ongoing project progress and evaluating project delivery.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Programme Management Office.
- Ensure project plans are in place to enable effective scheduling and delivery.
- Develop, produce and maintain schedules for projects that take account of dependencies, resource requirements and constraints in order to enable the efficient realisation of benefits.
- Monitor project milestones, reporting to the Programme Manager where appropriate.
- Act as Project Lead on small projects.
- Provide project administration support for projects in liaison with Project Leads.
- Coordinate project meetings, ensuring that all relevant paperwork is up-to-date and disseminated in a timely fashion and that all minutes and actions are captured and shared to all relevant project members.
- Manage project spend and contribute to budget reporting.
- Manage project documentation and records, including risk registers, issue logs and meeting minutes.
- Manage and engage with a wide range of internal and external project stakeholders.
- Provide project management training and support as required.

**About You**

You should have:

- Experience of successfully delivering projects.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
