Due to growth within Optimum Pay, we now have a very rare and exciting opportunity for **a National Sales Director** to join our award-winning company. This is a home-based role with regular travel and visits to our head office, which is based in Cheshire.

As a **National Sales Director**, you will play a key role defining customer and channel strategy, taking overall responsibility for delivering the annual new business and contract operating profit targets agreed with the Group CEO, providing strong leadership, project management skills and commercial expertise.

You will be responsible for growing the strategic client base for our payroll business entities, generating new opportunities, and increasing profitable revenues. You will be an innovative thinker and able to create solutions to offer a tailored approach to prospective customers, building sustainable and comprehensive pre-tender relationships.

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, and working alongside the Operations Director, you will form the senior part of the board of directors. This is a new role being created for the group, as part of our strategic growth for 2023. The regional sales team is a new team being recruited in 2023, managing this team and implementing the sales growth is key.

The company has access to seasonal corporate boxes within Chester Racecourse, Uttoxeter Racecourse and Tottenham Hotspur. You will have the opportunity to meet and entertain clients in these locations, in order to further chances to win new business, as well as build relationships with existing. Due to other companies within the group, further opportunities within other hospitality arenas will be available.

**Duties will include but not be limited to**:

- Monitoring the performance of the senior sales teams by setting and reviewing goals and identifying any training needs
- Devising and implementing systems to keep staff motivated and maintain a high level of morale
- Researching, analysing, and setting price points to maximise sales and maintain healthy profit margins
- Identifying opportunities by keeping track of competitor activity
- Using industry knowledge to identify potential new markets and increase the market share
- Maintaining sales records and design reports to ensure that the data collected is being utilised effectively
- Actively seeking new client relationships to expand the client portfolio.
- Presentations, pitches to recruitment owners/directors/senior management/consultants.
- Maintain presence at client offices & sites
- Keep appropriate records on clients and sales activities using our CRM systems.
- Meet sales targets and KPI’s
- Generating further client referrals from our existing client base
- Undertaking market research/analysis
- Keeping up to date and ahead of industry developments, taxation legislation, compliance etc.
- Generating targeted levels of qualified leads of potential clients (contractors, freelancers, small businesses)
- Attending after hours social/industry functions/events to grow network
- Regular travel & overnight stays

**About You**:

- Previous Sales director/ Senior Business Development Experience in the outsourced payroll sector.
- Proven sales results meeting/ exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Experience leading a Regional Sales Team
- Socially confident with excellent presentation skills.
- Computer savvy with knowledge of excel & word.
- Self-efficient with the ability to use your initiative.
- Full UK driving license with access to a car.
