Fabrication and Estimation Lead

Our client is looking for a Fabrication and Estimation Lead on a permanent, staff basis, located in Aberdeen.

**ROLE**

The main purpose of the role is to provide administration and technical support to Workshops to meet crane/mechanical handling repair, operation, and maintenance objectives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Technical
- To provide technical assistance to all Workshop Supervisors
- Assist Workshop Foreman with planned work scopes within the workshops.
- Assist team to complete full planning schedules for all workshops.
- Provide a focal point for fabrication related technical queries and review any proposed modifications or changes that may arise.
- Providing cover for Workshop Technical Coordinator while they are out of the office.

Business Promotion
- Assist Workshop Supervisors with compilation and cost control of the business unit budgets and, in conjunction with the Workshop Supervisor identify areas within workshops for development.
- Assist Workshop Management to Improve, and work to KPI’s within the Workshops.

Engineering
- Preparation and review of workshop CTR’s to present to internal Contract Teams
- Liaison with internal and external clients and subcontractors
- Completion of purchase requisitions
- Arrange equipment dispatch and transportation.
- Compilation of job close-out reports

Development
- The role requires a pro-active approach to mentoring assigned Graduate, Project Engineers, Admin and with respect to the following aspects:

- Planning of work schedules
- Timesheet entry and approval
- Project administration and project reviews
- Documentation control

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Reasonable technical knowledge and willing to develop.
- Be able to work under own initiative, capable of prioritising and managing workload to meet applicable deadlines.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages.
- Be capable of communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
