**Pro Global are supporting our client in Crumlin to source skilled & entry level Abattoir Operatives to join their team**

**Campaign: IND2**

**Working Hours**

Monday to Friday, 6am to finish (generally around 3pm finish)

**Pay**

Paid weekly every Friday, at a rate of 12.00 per hour

**Responsibilities**
- **Livestock Handling**: Safely and humanely handle livestock upon arrival at the abattoir, ensuring their well-being and minimizing stress.
- **Slaughter Process**: Perform humane and precise slaughtering of animals in accordance with established protocols and government regulations.
- **Carcass Inspection**: Inspect animal carcasses to ensure quality, health, and compliance with food safety standards.
- **Evisceration**: Remove internal organs and prepare carcasses for further processing, following established procedures.
- **Equipment Operation**:Operate machinery and tools such as meat saws, knives, and hoists, ensuring proper maintenance and safety.
- **Meat Processing**:Cut, trim, and separate meat into different cuts or products according to customer specifications.
- **Quality Control**:Monitor the quality of meat products, identifying and removing any defects or contamination.
- **Hygiene and Sanitation**: Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment by following strict hygiene standards, including equipment cleaning and sterilization.
- **Compliance**:Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines and policies relevant to the industry, including HACCP and OSHA requirements.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth production operations.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of activities, including animal counts, product weights, and production data.
- **Health and Safety**: Prioritise and follow all safety protocols and use protective gear to minimize the risk of injuries or accidents.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a similar role or in a meat processing environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and meat processing techniques is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and physical stamina.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and sometimes challenging environment.
- Ability to follow strict hygiene and safety procedures.
